Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an English Teacher for a long-term temporary role in Rhondda Cynon Taf. You will plan and deliver engaging English lessons across the secondary age range, while maintaining high standards of behaviour and supporting students to achieve progress.

The successful candidate will hold QTS with an English specialism, have good knowledge of the English curriculum, and bring excellent communication and organisational skills to a welcoming mainstream school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching English in a secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum.

The school is looking to appoint a passionate English Teacher on a long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons across the secondary age range, managing classroom behaviour and supporting students to make strong academic progress.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• QTS with an English specialism (NQTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• An enthusiastic, adaptable and committed approach to teaching
