Tradewind Education is recruiting for a part-time Teacher of English at a Doncaster secondary school. The role is 3 days per week on an ongoing basis, with ASAP / Sep 2026 start.

You will deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 and support literacy, speaking and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have QTS or equivalent, UK secondary English experience, strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willing to apply.

Responsibilities

Teacher of English - Secondary School

Tradewind Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join a welcoming secondary school in Doncaster on an ongoing basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced English teacher, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), looking for a flexible role within a supportive secondary school environment.

The Role

As a Teacher of English, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across the secondary age range, helping students develop their literacy, communication and analytical skills.

The role is 3 days per week and will continue on an ongoing basis, providing consistency for both the successful candidate and the students.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons in line with the school's curriculum.

Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across the English curriculum.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A flexible, professional and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
• A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind Education.ECTs are welcome to apply.
