Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking an English Teacher (Secondary) to work across Northumberland and surrounding areas starting January 2027. You will deliver English Language and Literature lessons to KS3 and KS4, planning, assessing, and supporting student progress.

We welcome both experienced teachers and ECTs, offering competitive weekly pay to scale and access to CPD and development opportunities through our network of schools and a dedicated local consultant.

Qualifications

Salary: Paid to Scale Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated English Teachers to work in secondary schools across Northumberland from January 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a range of welcoming and supportive schools, where you can make a real difference to students' progress and confidence in English. Whether you are an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge or an ECT eager to build your experience, we would love to hear from you. You will be responsible for delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their skills, achieve their potential, and build a lifelong appreciation for reading and writing. The Role

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching English within a secondary school environment.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Is adaptable, proactive and confident working within different school settings.
• Has a genuine passion for education and supporting young people to succeed.
