Are you an English Teacher committed to improving the lives of pupils and young people?

Purpose of the Job

To encourage, monitor, and record the progress of individual pupils, devising and adapting resources to meet their needs. To help all students achieve accreditation at appropriate levels through continuous assessment, reporting, and recording.

Promote the safety and well-being of pupils and young people. Keep up to date with developments in curriculum subject areas, new resources, and teaching methods.

To teach and deliver the English curriculum effectively in consultation with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.

• Support the development and delivery of a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum tailored to the students' age, aptitude, ability, and any special educational needs, meeting the standards of a registered school.
• Understand the challenges faced by young people and ensure an inclusive approach that fosters achievement and challenges discrimination.
• Promote and adhere to the school’s Pupil Protection and Safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Conduct educational assessments on entry and during the students' time at the school, contributing to the development of Individual Learning Plans that meet their needs and, where applicable, their EHCP requirements.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant education legislation.
• Demonstrate professional commitment to the education, welfare, health, and safety of the students.
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status and a Degree Level Qualification.
