Job summary

TeacherActive are seeking passionate English teachers to work across our network of secondary schools in Liverpool, The Wirral and Merseyside. Flexible day-to-day, short-term and long-term supply roles with potential permanent opportunities, aligned to your availability and preferences.

Competitive daily rates (£150–£230) and holiday pay, with a straightforward registration process and ongoing support from the TeacherActive team. Both new and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

We work closely with Secondary Schools across Merseyside, providing everything from day-to-day supply cover to long-term teaching placements and potential permanent opportunities.

We're looking for English Teachers who:

Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Have experience teaching English Language and English Literature across KS3 and KS4

Are confident delivering engaging and inspiring English lessons

Can support pupils with reading, writing, literacy and exam preparation

Can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff

Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Are adaptable, reliable and professional

Put children at the heart of their teaching
