Role: English Teacher
Type: Long Term
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Temporary
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Pay: Competitive, paid to scale

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Develop differentiated instruction strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Inspire critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature and language in students
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
  • Stay up‑to‑date with educational best practices and incorporate innovative teaching methods
  • Mentor and guide students in their academic and personal growth
Experience, Training, and Qualifications
  • Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Previous experience in a UK school
  • Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as some training will be provided)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for teaching and motivating young learners
Eligibility Requirements
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to process a new application)
  • Two professional references
