Inspire Young Minds Through English – Become a 1:1 Intervention Tutor

Are you an experienced English teacher with a passion for supporting learners with additional needs? Are you seeking a flexible, rewarding role outside the traditional classroom?

TP Tutors is offering an excellent opportunity for English educators to deliver 1:1 intervention tuition to pupils in their local area, with placements beginning ASAP. This role is ideally suited to teachers who have experience working with SEN learners, and who are keen to make a tangible difference to young lives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging, individualised English sessions for students at KS1–KS4
• Provide face-to-face support for pupils with additional needs such as ASD, SEMH, or PMLD
• Deliver tuition in homes, care settings, or community spaces such as libraries, in agreement with parents/carers
• Track and report on student progress, adapting learning strategies accordingly
• Inspire learners to build confidence and achieve their potential
• Implement appropriate behaviour management techniques to support focus and participation

This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers seeking meaningful one-to-one work, especially those interested in deepening their experience with SEND pupils.

Who We’re Looking For:
• Qualified English teachers (or experienced educators) with SEN experience
• A confident and creative approach to lesson planning and delivery
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual learning needs
• Skilled in managing behaviour in a calm and positive manner
• Ability to assess progress and set achievable learning goals

Essential Requirements:
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• The right to work in the UK
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
