Job summary

Greenshoa Learning Trust is seeking a dedicated Primary School Improvement Lead (English) to raise standards in reading, phonics, and writing across nursery to Year 6. You will work with the Director of Primary Education and the Trust-wide team, 3–4 days a week, mainly in South West schools.

You will promote high standards, support strategy implementation, lead English networks, and deliver targeted CPD. A degree and QTS are required, with travel to multiple GLT sites in the South West.

Qualifications

• Experience leading English across primary levels (Nursery–Year 6).
• Ability to interpret and act on data to raise reading and writing standards.
• Experience delivering professional development and coaching to school leaders.

Responsibilities

• Promote high standards across Greenshaw Learning Trust schools.
• Support schools to implement the Greenshaw Raising Attainment Strategy for English KS1–KS2.
• Lead English network meetings and develop intranet resources for collaboration across the Trust.
• Design and deliver CPD and research-informed practice for school improvement.
• Onboard new schools and train staff on GLT English principles.
• Provide strong instructional leadership to improve reading, phonics, and foundational skills.
• Travel to GLT sites across the South West with flexibility and a driving licence.
