English Lecturer - Hull
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Lecturer to join a college in Hull, with a start date as soon as possible.

The Role
- Position: English Lecturer
- Location: Hull
- Start date: As soon as possible until at least February Half Term
- Hours: Part time, 17.5 hours per week
- Pay: £20-£35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

As an English Lecturer, your duties will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging and effective English lessons.
- Teaching students across a range of levels and abilities.
- Delivering lessons in areas such as English language, literature, literacy, reading, writing and communication.
- Preparing students for examinations, assessments and coursework.
- Supporting learners to develop their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
- Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support achievement and progression.
- Monitoring and recording student progress, attendance and achievement.
- Creating an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Differentiating lessons and learning materials to meet the needs of individual students.
- Supporting students with their academic, personal and professional development.
- Encouraging learners to build confidence in their use of English and develop strong communication skills.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and the wider college team.
- Ensuring teaching and learning meets relevant curriculum and awarding-body requirements.
To be considered for this role, candidates will need:
- An up-to-date DBS.
- At least a Level 3 qualification in English or a relevant subject.
- A recognised PGCE or Cert Ed.
- Relevant teaching experience within Further Education or a similar educational setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting stude
- Have experience working within schools in the UK
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the full CV History
