Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic English Lecturer for a college in Hull, starting as soon as possible and until February Half Term. The role is part-time, 17.5 hours per week, with pay £20-£35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will deliver lessons across English language, literature, literacy, reading, writing and communication, and support examinations and coursework. DBS required and eligibility to work in the UK must be demonstrated.

Qualifications

• DBS up-to-date.
• Level 3 English qualification is required.
• A recognised PGCE or Cert Ed is required.
• Relevant teaching experience within Further Education or similar setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons.
• Teach students across a range of levels and abilities.
• Deliver lessons in areas such as English language, literature, literacy, reading, writing and communication.
• Prepare students for examinations, assessments and coursework.

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced English Lecturer to join a college in Hull, with a start date as soon as possible.

The Role

• Position: English Lecturer
• Location: Hull
• Start date: As soon as possible until at least February Half Term
• Hours: Part time, 17.5 hours per week

As an English Lecturer, your duties will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging and effective English lessons.

• Ensuring teaching and learning meets relevant curriculum and awarding-body requirements.

To be considered for this role, candidates will need:

• An up-to-date DBS.
• At least a Level 3 qualification in English or a relevant subject.
• A recognised PGCE or Cert Ed.
• Relevant teaching experience within Further Education or a similar educational setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting stude
• Have experience working within schools in the UK
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the full CV History
