Job summary

Noel-Baker Academy is seeking an Assistant Curriculum Leader of English to join the English department. You will work with the Curriculum Leader to shape curriculum delivery, improve teaching and learning, and drive pupil achievement across Key Stages 3 and 4.

You will support staff development, promote high standards, and mentor colleagues through coaching and collaboration, ensuring all pupils fulfil their potential, including disadvantaged learners and those with SEND.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status and a degree in English or a related subject.
• Proven track record of excellent classroom practice and strong pupil outcomes.
• Demonstrates excellent subject, curriculum and assessment knowledge.
• Can inspire, support and challenge colleagues through coaching and collaboration.
• Has high expectations for behaviour, achievement and inclusion.
• Is passionate about reading, literacy and developing confident communicators.

Responsibilities

• Shape and develop an ambitious English curriculum.
• Influence teaching, learning and assessment across KS3 and KS4.
• Support colleagues through coaching, mentoring and professional development.
• Contribute to literacy initiatives, enrichment opportunities and wider curriculum experiences.
