Job summary

Stagecoach is hiring at Glenrothes Depot for a Dayshift labourer/general assistant to support the busy engineering department. The role offers an hourly rate of £13.45 and a 38-hour week, with 34 days holiday and access to a company pension and travel benefits.

You will perform cleaning, vehicle fuelling and washing, and ensure compliance with health and safety and SSOW. Strong teamwork and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the engineering premises and depot.
• Fuel and wash vehicles to meet service requirements.
• Comply with health and safety, engineering legislation and company policies.
• Follow SSOW requirements and assist supervisors with ad hoc tasks.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.
• Develop technical skills as required.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping.

What will you be doing?

• Working pattern to be discussed at interview, 38 hours per week.
• Undertake a wide range of duties to ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the engineering premises and smooth operation of the depot.
• Fuel and wash our vehicles to meet service requirements.
• Fully comply with all health and safety and engineering legislation along with company policies.
• Fully comply with all relevant SSOW.
• Assist supervisors and managers with all ad hoc requirements.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.
• Maintain and develop technical skills as required.
• Practice the highest standards of housekeeping.
