Job summary

Able Personnel in Manchester invites applications for a Multi-Skilled Engineering Tutor to join a growing training provider. The role combines classroom teaching with workplace mentoring, helping apprentices on Engineering Technician programmes develop knowledge, skills, and confidence.

You will deliver knowledge components of the Engineering Technician standard and mentor learners across Mechatronic and other pathways; the role offers 7.5 hours per day, generous leave, and extensive training

Qualifications

• Deliver the knowledge component of the Engineering Technician standard, including Maths and Scientific principles.
• Deliver the knowledge component, AMEDK, to Engineering Technician apprentices following the Mechatronic pathway
• Deliver training to Engineering Maintenance Technician apprentices across both Single and Dual Discipline pathways
• Mentor and coach new engineers within the classroom and workplace
• Support apprentices in developing the essential skills and knowledge required throughout their apprenticeship
• Share your engineering industry expertise through engaging training, mentoring, and coaching
• Help learners progress and develop their confidence and capabilities within the engineering sector
• Support apprentices to achieve the requirements of their Engineering Technician apprenticeship

At Able Personnel, we are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing training provider for a passionate Multi-Skilled Engineering Tutor to join their expanding team based in Manchester.

This is a permanent Engineering Tutor role working 7.5 hours per day, combining classroom teaching with workplace mentoring and coaching. You will support apprentices studying Engineering Technician programmes, helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need throughout their apprenticeship.

You will play a key role in supporting the next generation of engineers by sharing your industry expertise through mentoring, training, and coaching, while helping apprentices develop the essential knowledge and skills required for their chosen engineering pathway.

What you will be doing:

• Deliver the knowledge component of the Engineering Technician standard, including Math’s and Scientific principles
• Deliver the knowledge component, AMEDK, to Engineering Technician apprentices following the Mechatronic pathway

Essential:

• Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification
• Ability to deliver the knowledge component of the Engineering Technician standard
• Ability to teach Math’s and Scientific principles

Desirable:

• Assessor or teaching qualification
• Full training is provided for HNC, Teaching and Assessing qualifications

Salary and benefits:

• Salary £35,459 to £39,459.43 per annum plus £4,250 car allowance paid in monthly wages = £43,709 per annum
• 7.5 hours per day
