Job summary

Meridian Business Support is seeking a General Labourer on an Engineering Trainee Pathway to support our engineering and production teams. This hands-on role focuses on learning practical skills, helping with labouring, assembly and workshop tasks, and developing knowledge of mechanical operations.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00 and Friday 07:00-12:00, with a pay rate of £13.00 per hour.

Physically capable of manual tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers, technicians and skilled tradespeople with daily tasks.
Carry out general labouring duties including lifting, moving, and preparing materials.
Support workshop operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
Learn to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Help with equipment inspections and basic maintenance activities.
Follow engineering drawings, instructions, and technical guidance under supervision.
Adhere to health, safety and quality procedures.
Participate in training opportunities to develop engineering skills and knowledge.
Complete other duties to support engineering and operations.
