Are you our next Engineering Technician? We are looking for someone who can help us redefine what's possible for our operation.

What is the role?

Gatwick Airport is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and multi-skilled technician to join the Specialist Systems Engineering team. The focus is on delivering high maintenance standards and excellent customer experience. Working on a 24/7 shift roster, you will perform corrective and preventative maintenance on various assets, ensuring all activities comply with our Maintenance Policy and safety standards, including Risk and Method Statements.

What will you do?

  • Perform planned, reactive, and corrective maintenance, monitoring asset performance and making improvements as needed.
  • Carry out tasks requiring advanced technical skills in electrical, mechanical, or control systems engineering, or other relevant disciplines.
  • Utilize Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., Ultimo) to manage work orders, data entry, and performance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate engineering and operational records to meet business, regulatory, and manufacturer standards.
  • Prioritize safety for yourself and colleagues, including PPE usage, mandatory training, and incident reporting.

Do you have what we're looking for?

  • Advanced modern apprenticeship (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic) or equivalent qualification.
  • Core skills in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, at least ONC level (Level 3).
  • Experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematic drawings.
  • Class B UK driving license.
  • Experience with Surface & Foul Water assets and infrastructure (desired).
  • Understanding of power generators (desired).
