Freightliner is seeking an Engineering Technician, Grade B, for the Wagon Maintenance department in Southampton. You will work on the company’s fleet of Wagons in a safety-critical environment and report to the Production Supervisor.
You will maintain, service, fault-find and repair wagons according to approved maintenance plans, and ensure comprehensive recording of all maintenance and defect information in line with legislative requirements and company procedures.

The successful applicant should be a safety conscious and motivated self-starter, a fully versatile team member who has established experience within a railway maintenance depot environment or a similar engineering background. A flexible approach to working hours is essential as SMMD operates a Day and Night 12hr shift roster.
