Qualifications

  • Experience in fault finding and technical support.

Engineering Technician Droitwich

37.5 Hours per Week | Temp-to-Permanent | Flexible Shifts

Mainstay Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading private healthcare provider to recruit an Engineering Technician for their modern hospital facility in Droitwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected organisation that delivers outstanding patient care and performs complex procedures within a supportive and well-equipped engineering department. If you're a qualified engineer with a mechanical or electrical background, and looking for a rewarding role with genuine long-term potential, this could be the ideal next step.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive issues across the hospital site
  2. Provide expert support for breakdowns and technical faults
  3. Mentor and support on-site Technicians and Engineering Assistants
  4. Offer technical advice to local hospital management when required
  5. Promote a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
  6. Maintain high levels of workmanship and contribute to a strong team culture
Requirements
  1. NVQ Level 3, ONC or City & Guilds Part 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  2. Completed a time-served apprenticeship in a relevant discipline
  3. Valid CSCS or ECS card (depending on trade discipline)
  4. Willingness to act as Authorised Person (AP) and Responsible Person (RP) for Medgas
  5. Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and ACOPs, including L8 (Legionella)
  6. Confident in fault finding and interpreting technical drawings
  7. Excellent time management and organisational skills
