Job summary

Argenta is seeking an Engineering Technician for our Dundee manufacturing site. The role involves carrying out planned and corrective maintenance on equipment, following GMP, engineering and HSE standards.

You will perform maintenance tasks on shift, support safety permits and risk assessments, and maintain accurate maintenance records while contributing to equipment reliability and process safety across the plant.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Engineering Technician role or equivalent.
• GMP environment experience desirable.
• Pharmaceutical experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all technical tasks on shift following instructions, procedures, and GMP guidelines.
• Support EH&S requirements to ensure safe maintenance activities.
• Provide preventative and corrective maintenance for equipment and systems; document maintenance and logs.

About the Role

An amazing opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Technician, within our Dundee manufacturing site. The Engineering Technician is responsible for carrying out tasks for performing planned maintenance and corrective maintenance repairs of equipment with the established processes and to the relevant GMP, Engineering and Health and Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all technical tasks, on shift, in accordance with instructions, procedures, plant safety and GMP guidelines and support shift-based training with staff on equipment.
• Support all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements to ensure that maintenance activities are safely executed. (e.g. Permits to Work, Risk Assessment, Incident Reporting, Safe Work Practice, COSHH).
• Provide preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance support for all equipment and auxiliary systems on site, while meeting the relevant standards and in accordance with the site maintenance processes. Have a good understanding of maintenance systems and engineering procedures and systems of work (e.g. CMMS).
• Complete all appropriate maintenance documentation (Electronic/paper), handovers and maintenance history logs whilst maintaining a clean working area. Investigate equipment failures and support activities necessary to improve equipment reliability.
• Comply with all local and global company policies including Quality frameworks and health, safety and environment (HSE) policies.
• Perform any other additional duties or serve in such other capacity as may be determined by Company management.

Qualifications

• Minimum C&G, ONC, OND in Engineering Discipline
  

Knowledge & Experience

• Experience in anEngineering Technician role or equivalent
• Experience working in GMP environment desirable
• Pharmaceutical experience desirable, but not essential.
• Minimum Written, Numeracy and verbal communication skills
  
• Computer literate (email / MS Applications / CMMS, etc.)
