K.A.G. Recruitment is partnering exclusively with a premier client in Burton on Trent to recruit an Engineering Team Leader. You will help ensure the reliability and performance of manufacturing equipment and contribute to safety and efficiency across site assets.

The role requires hands-on maintenance expertise, broad equipment knowledge, and strong communication skills to lead a shift-based engineering team, drive maintenance best practices and cost-saving improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Safety-focused with risk assessment experience.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coach and motivate reports to hit production targets.
• Maximise engineer utilisation across all departments.
• Ensure detailed handovers and ongoing shift communication.
• Train engineering staff on site machinery and equipment.
• Set up, changeover and operate machinery across departments per SOPs.
• Carry out maintenance tasks within scheduled time frames.
• Complete daily engineering reports and log work in CMMS.
• Record downtime and investigate using RCA to prevent repeats.
• Identify improvements and implement enhancements.
• Develop maintenance best practices to maximise plant reliability.
• Drive cost-saving opportunities for site utilities.
