Job summary

K.A.G. Recruitment is partnering with our client based in Wrexham to recruit an Engineering Team Leader on a 6 month FTC. You will lead an engineering shift, delivering planned and reactive maintenance in a fast-paced FMCG environment while driving safety, food quality and continuous improvement.

Location is Wrexham. Salary is £35 - £45 per hour (DOE), with minimum 42 hours per week across an 8 week cycle. Shifts include 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off, 7-7.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering qualifications with electrical/multi-skilled background.
• Ability to fault-find across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience leading or managing an engineering team.
• Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the engineering shift team with resource management.
• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance to maximise plant availability.
• Fault-find and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and resolve root causes.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, GMP and food safety standards.
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in reliability and efficiency.
• Support projects, continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Manage performance, training, holidays and absence.
• Ensure effective use of CMMS and maintenance systems.
