Job summary

Flagstone, a London-based online savings platform, seeks a hands-on Engineering Lead to run the Banks squad on the Bank Portal. You’ll own technical direction, deliver autonomous decisions, and drive the next phase of commercial capabilities on a migrated foundation.

You\'ll manage delivery, coach engineers, and align with tribe-wide standards while maintaining data isolation and audit logging in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial C#/.NET experience, with a solid grasp of SOLID, event-driven architecture and DDD.
• RESTful API design and SQL skills.
• Cloud-native Azure development.
• Frontend fluency to review React/TypeScript work.
• TDD in practice (NUnit, MSTest, Playwright/Selenium or similar).
• Experience with agentic development tools (Claude Code or similar).
• Comfort in regulated/data-sensitive environments with per-bank data isolation and audit logging.

Responsibilities

• Own the squad's technical direction and quarterly roadmap, driving commercial features on the migrated foundation.
• Lead day-to-day delivery and performance management, handling underperformance and exits.
• Within the FTC's 12 months, focus on driving commercial delivery at pace while coaching engineers.
• Collaborate across the tribe, contributing to engineering-wide standards and progress tracking.
