Job summary

Hunter Selection is assisting a leading Bristol-based manufacturer in recruiting an Engineering Team Leader to drive maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement on shift. You will lead a team of up to 5 engineers, coach them and ensure reliable operation of plant and equipment.

The role is suited to an experienced Engineering Team Leader or a senior maintenance engineer stepping into management, working alongside the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lift site performance and drive

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualification (Level 2 or above).
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
• FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers.
• Coordinate and oversee planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Support rapid response to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
• Ensure engineering standards, safety and compliance are maintained.
• Work closely with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to improve site performance.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)
Salary: Up to £57,500 (£75k+ earning potential)

I'm currently working with a leading manufacturing business in Bristol that is looking to appoint an Engineering Team Leader to support the continued development of their engineering function.

This opportunity would suit either an experienced Engineering Team Leader or a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to take the next step into leadership. You'll lead a team of engineers on shift, ensuring equipment reliability, driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the day-to-day delivery of engineering performance.
