Hunter Selection is hiring an Engineering Team Leader in Bristol to lead a shift team of up to 5 engineers, drive PM activities, and reduce downtime through proactive maintenance and root cause analysis.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in manufacturing, an engineering qualification, and a proven track record of coaching engineers while pursuing continuous improvement in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualification (Level 2 or above).
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or supervising engineers.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
• FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers.
• Coordinate and oversee planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Support rapid response to breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
• Ensure engineering standards, safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager to improve site performance.

I'm currently working with a leading manufacturing business in Bristol that is looking to appoint an Engineering Team Leader to support the continued development of their engineering function.

This opportunity would suit either an experienced Engineering Team Leader or a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to take the next step into leadership. You'll lead a team of engineers on shift, ensuring equipment reliability, driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the day-to-day delivery of engineering performance.

The Role:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to 5 engineers
