Arriva North West Limited is seeking an Engineering Supervisor (progression to Assistant Engineering Manager) to support the Engineering Manager in delivering a robust and compliant engineering operation. The role focuses on vehicle availability, safety, and efficiency, with development toward the AEM position.

The successful candidate will contribute to meeting KPIs, DVSA standards, and budget targets while leading a team in a busy depot environment.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background with maintenance, servicing or overhaul experience.
• Recognised apprenticeship, vocational qualification, or relevant degree in engineering.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
• Proven ability to supervise and motivate a team in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Supervision: Support the Engineering Manager in daily operations; supervise the engineering team to ensure safe, timely maintenance and repairs.
• Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure staff comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Fleet & Customer Service: Help meet PVR and deliver roadworthy, compliant vehicles.
• People Management: Assist in recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and coaching.
