Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking an Engineering Supervisor in Hull, East Yorkshire. You will supervise a small team of two Engineers while remaining hands‑on with mechanical and electrical maintenance on production machinery.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a Monday–Friday 8am–4pm schedule, focusing on reliability improvements and safe operation within a food-manufacturing environment.

Qualifikationen

• Strong 50/50 mechanical and electrical engineering experience.
• Background in manufacturing, ideally food production or FMCG.
• Confident with fault‑finding, breakdowns and preventative maintenance.
• A practical, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills.

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer ready to step into management, or an established Engineering Supervisor looking for a new challenge?

We're recruiting for a fantastic opportunity with an established food manufacturing business in Hull, offering a competitive salary, excellent working hours and genuine responsibility.

You’ll oversee a small engineering team of two Engineers, reporting directly to the Factory Manager, while remaining fully hands‑on with mechanical and electrical maintenance.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys practical engineering but is ready to take greater ownership of a manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support and supervise a team of two Maintenance Engineers.
• Carry out hands‑on mechanical and electrical maintenance across production machinery.

• Take ownership of engineering activities across a single-line production facility.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong 50/50 mechanical and electrical engineering experience.

• A practical, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Previous supervisory experience OR a senior Multi‑Skilled Engineer ready to step up.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a small team.

What’s On Offer?

Circa £50,000 salary - negotiable depending on experience.

Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm - no rotating shifts.

33 days’ holiday, with a two‑week Christmas shutdown.

Additional payment arrangements for call‑outs and overtime, including a £150 supervisory/management payment (terms to be confirmed).
