Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to support the Compliance Manager across the Midlands DfT facilities portfolio, based in Kettering/Northampton. You will lead a mobile engineering team, ensure compliant service delivery, and perform site audits with accurate record keeping.

The role requires an M&E background with City & Guilds/NVQ qualifications, a full UK driving licence, and willingness to travel. BS 7671 and C&G 2391 are desirable, as is Authorised Person status.

Job description

Role: Mobile Engineering Supervisor
Hours: Full Time - 40 hrs
Location: Kettering/Northampton (Mobile Region)

We're looking for an Engineering Supervisor who will support the Compliance Manager in delivering operational management across the Midlands portfolio of properties on the Department for Transport (DfT) facilities management contract.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support the Compliance Manager in managing service delivery across the geographical area in line with contract obligations and service standards.
• Manage the mobile engineering team and ensure appropriate levels of resources are deployed with succession and development plans in place.
• Act as the first point of contact for the engineering team, assisting with queries and providing support.
• Carry out site and engineer audits, ensuring compliance, accurate record keeping, and maintenance of logbooks.
• Support the management of P&L, SLA and KPI performance measures while liaising with central teams regarding outstanding works.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• Substantial and proven experience in multi-site hard service delivery.
• Previous Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) background with City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical disciplines.
• Experience managing remote engineering teams and working within business-critical technical environments.
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety related to Total Facilities Management services and operational management experience of 3+ years.
• Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel. BS 7671 18th Edition, C&G 2391 and Authorised Person status are desirable.
