Purpose of the Role
To effectively supervise, participate in, and provide line management for the day-to-day mobile operation of the contract engineering team/supply partners, ensuring compliance with standards (mandatory, statutory, contractual) and the effective operation of the contract’s Mechanical, Electrical, and Fabric services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the mobile engineering teams, ensuring their delivery meets contract requirements and maintaining high levels of development and engagement.
- Provide technical and physical support to the engineering team, including hands-on tasks and cover for holiday/sickness.
- Attend training and work at height, within confined spaces, or in areas of high noise/low lighting as required.
- Ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of site M&E Plant and Equipment and Fabric Services.
- Manage the customer CAFM System to monitor staff and KPI performance, and report on service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and manage Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment responsibilities.
- Organise and carry out reactive repairs to M&E and fabric systems.
- Prioritise and complete reactive and PPM tasks, reporting to the Account Manager to ensure high service levels.
- Ensure PPM is conducted per schedules and industry best practices.
- Supervise Specialist Supply Partners, including inductions, reviews, sign-offs, and minor works.
- Formulate, assess, and validate risk assessments, method statements, SOPs, and EOPs.
- Own tasks, organise materials/quotations for completion.
- Attend company meetings and training courses as needed.
- Meet operational requirements from clients or managers.
- Conduct contractor monitoring audits.
- Manage hazard reports in live environments.
- Follow operational processes for efficient contract operation.
- Contribute to innovative tools and ideas for contract maintenance.
- Adhere to organisational policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Experience managing a hard-service facilities engineering team across a complex estate.
- Line management experience.
- Physically fit to assist with manual tasks.
- Technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fabric.
- Experience in the FM industry (desirable).

Accountabilities
- Report to a CBRE Account Manager.
- Accountable to CBRE Managed Services heads and relevant client contacts.
- Line management responsibility for the engineering team and indirectly for sub-contractors.
- Operational and QHSE responsibility for contract performance.
