Job summary

Resourcing Partnership Ltd. is recruiting a supervisor to lead a team of Multiskilled Engineers on a shift rotation, ensuring continuous production and safety through preventative maintenance and timely breakdown repairs.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage PPM schedules, and coach peers and apprentices while aligning with budget targets and material usage policies across CPM production equipment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with domestic wiring and boiler/steam systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming concepts and control system operation.
  • Electrical or mechanical qualifications relevant to industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure supervision and safe operating procedures for engineers and visiting contractors
  • To maintain Health & Safety rules and regulations
  • To identify potential hazards/risks to the Health & Safety Manager/responsible person upon discovery
  • To ensure all PPM schedules are completed and developed using predictive and diagnostic maintenance techniques
  • To Initiate improvement plans in a pragmatic and proactive manner
  • To ensure the Engineering department in achieving its budget targets through the efficient use of materials and replacement parts
  • To follow the correct accounting/authorisation process when ordering replacement parts
  • Maintain and improve standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of the factory including the engineering office and workshop.
  • To effectively manage the Shift Engineers - planning work, addressing performance issues, T/A and implementation of training plans
  • Manage the day to day issues and ensure any assistance from OEM's is escalated.
  • To undertake emergency breakdown repairs in a timely and efficient way on all CPM production equipment and assist across all site engineering issues when required.
  • Provide technical and behavioural coaching to peers, apprentices, and front-line production colleagues
  • Be the technical resource for projects and technical specification's
  • Transfer best practice to further the development and performance of the engineering function.
  • To be aware of and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as required by management and within the competency of the post holder.
