Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Storesman in Ammanford to unify two-site stores, manage a £2 million budget, and optimise engineering parts inventory across the site.

You’ll lead a critical racking project, liaise with suppliers and internal teams, and use Movex and Excel to maintain accurate records and drive stock efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of engineering stores management or demonstrable buyer/negotiator experience with budgets and systems.
• Proficiency with Movex and Excel; strong numerical skills.
• Experience managing budgets and stock in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Ability to work independently with excellent organisational skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Aptitude for problem-solving and delivering practical solutions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the completion of an ongoing racking project, ensuring its timely and effective delivery.
• Manage and optimise engineering stock across two sites, organising parts and consolidating stores into one location.
• Take responsibility for a £2 million budget, tracking costs and controlling expenditure.
• Act as the OEM point of contact, liaising with suppliers and internal teams to ensure parts availability and quality.
• Use your systems skills, including Movex, to maintain accurate records and contribute to stock control and reporting.
