Job summary

Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I is seeking a procurement-focused Stores/Engineering Support professional to oversee requisitioning, purchasing and stock control for the Engineering department. You will ensure optimal supplier selection, maintain SAP-based stock accuracy and support 5S/TPM driven improvements across site maintenance planning.

The role requires hands-on experience in FMCG manufacturing stores, strong numeracy, and proficiency with CMMS (preferably SAP PM/MM).

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG or manufacturing stores environments.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes.
• Experience with CMMS systems, preferably SAP PM or MM.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Good written and spoken English; GCSE Maths or equivalent numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage all requisitioning and purchasing for Engineering; select suppliers based on cost, quality and service.
• Maintain stock levels and stock accuracy in SAP, follow stock reduction plans.
• Support Stores Manager in stores management procedures including cycle counts and 5S.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing processes related to MRP, PM activities, and indirect procurement.
• Support contractor management for stores service providers to ensure value and budget adherence.
• Assist in development/maintenance of SAP PM and other systems to improve planning and control.
• Produce weekly stock expenditure reports highlighting asset costs and repeat product failures.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, GMP, and TPM pillars.
• Demonstrate safe working behaviours and adhere to site safety standards.

The purpose of this position is to oversee procurement activities and support continuous improvement of engineering stores to enhance maintenance planning and execution, improving site-wide performance aligned with KPIs.

What You’ll Do

What You need to be successful

Essential

• Demonstrable experience in FMCG or manufacturing stores environment
• Statutory compliance knowledge within manufacturing
• Highly numerate (GCSE Maths or equivalent)
• Good understanding of inventory management and procurement processes
• Experience with CMMS systems, preferably SAP PM or MM
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
• Good engineering or product knowledge in FMCG
• Strong oral and written communication skills (GCSE English or equivalent)
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
• Commitment to customer service and vendor relationship management

Desirable

• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and TPM
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and modular maintenance concepts
• Previous exposure to refurbishment and indirect procurement processes
