Job summary

Next Generation in Tewkesbury is seeking a Stores Operative to support its Supply Chain team. The role involves receiving, storing, and issuing materials to production to keep operations running smoothly.

You will work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, ensuring stock accuracy, working with purchasing and production, and maintaining a clean, safe stores area. Previous warehouse experience and a valid FLT licence are desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stores operative, warehouse or stock control roles.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of stock control processes.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Good numeracy and organisational skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment desirable.
• Experience using stock or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and unloading deliveries safely.
• Checking goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Inspecting items for damage or discrepancies.
• Booking stock into internal systems accurately.
• Storing materials in the correct locations.

• Supporting stock checks and stock takes.
• Working closely with purchasing and production teams.
