K.A.G. Recruitment Consultancy is delighted to be exclusively partnering with our client, a Food industry leader, who is seeking an Engineering Stock Controller to join their Engineering team based in Penston.

Over the last few years, our client has experienced significant growth through expansion and acquisition. They are now looking for a Stock Controller to join the business and develop their career.

Job Details

• Job Title: Engineering Stock Controller
• Reporting to: Site Engineering Manager
• Salary: Up to £30,000 DOE
• Location: Penston, Glasgow
• Hours: 07:00 - 15:30

Purpose of the Role

The Engineering Stock Controller will support the Engineering department to ensure the smooth running of the factory, achieve business targets, and optimize inventory management. The role involves driving efficiency through effective use of data and supporting the Engineering team in daily operations.

Key Duties

1. Coordinate with Engineering stores to ensure timely product availability.
2. Manage weekly invoices to ensure transaction accuracy.
3. Maintain employee registers and communicate updates to Management/HR.
4. Organize and file paperwork, supporting administration and housekeeping.
5. Attend daily meetings, update reports, and liaise with Engineering Managers/Supervisors on action progress.
6. Update Pirana corrective actions and prepare weekly progress reports.
7. Assist in organizing and administering Engineering inventory.
8. Support the development of training materials and Engineering SOPs.
9. Distribute information to staff and develop relationships with key suppliers aligned with company strategy.
10. Create performance reports using Power BI, Excel, Word, etc.
11. Ensure contractors' inductions and insurance details are current.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills. They should be efficient, able to meet deadlines, and possess strong administration skills, especially in Excel for data analysis. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
