Join our client's team as an Engineering Services Manager and be part of a dynamic and innovative organization. The Engineering Services Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of M&E system operations, including both planned and reactive maintenance. You will manage and develop a team of technicians and oversee the service desk function.
- Reporting to senior management, you'll lead a team of skilled technicians to manage all aspects of M&E system operations, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance.
- You'll also supervise the service desk and coordinate small repairs.
- As an effective communicator, you'll build positive relationships with occupiers and manage and appraise direct reports according to company policy.
- You will ensure staff are properly trained and regularly drilled on the safe operation of all M&E plant and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and associated costs, ensuring statutory compliance in line with site and company procedures.
- Hold a valid IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
- Possess a mechanical bias with a good understanding of M&E services.
- Demonstrate team management skills, capable of working effectively with people at all levels and handling challenging situations.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in a multi-discipline hard and soft services environment in a managerial role.
- Possess good knowledge of assets such as plumbing, HVAC systems, controls, refrigeration, electrical/mechanical systems, and experience managing cooling towers.
- Have prior experience with Building Management Systems.
- Hold HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Experience in recruiting, managing, and appraising direct reports.
- Experience coordinating toolbox talks and safety drills.
- Ability to develop and implement new processes, procedures, and business continuity plans.
