Looking for a challenging and rewarding leadership role in the engineering industry?

Join our clients’ team as an Engineering Services Manager and be part of a dynamic and innovative organisation. The Engineering Services Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all aspects of M&E system operations, including planned and reactive maintenance. You will manage and develop a team of technicians and oversee the service desk function.

• Reporting to Senior Management, you'll lead a team of skilled technicians to manage all aspects of M&E system operations, including planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
• You will supervise the service desk and coordinate small repairs.
• As an effective communicator, you'll build positive relationships with occupiers and manage direct reports in line with company policies.
• You will ensure staff are trained and regularly drilled on the safe operation of all M&E plant and systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and associated costs, ensuring statutory compliance per site and company procedures.
• Hold a valid IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
• Possess a mechanical bias with a good understanding of M&E services.
• Demonstrate team management skills, capable of working effectively with people at all levels and handling challenging situations.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a multi-discipline hard and soft services managerial role.
• Good knowledge of assets such as plumbing, HVAC systems, controls, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems, including experience with cooling towers.
• Experience with Building Management Systems.
• HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience in recruiting, managing, and appraising staff.
• Experience in coordinating toolbox training and drills.
• Ability to develop and implement new processes, procedures, and business continuity plans.
