Job summary

Blue Chip Building in the City of London seeks an Engineering Services Manager to lead the on-site maintenance team, ensure M&E services are delivered to a high standard and minimise disruption to operations. The role sits on a high profile contract within a prestigious commercial setting near Liverpool Street.

You will manage three engineers, an admin and an apprentice, issue permits to work, oversee KPI/SLA performance, and drive health and safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering discipline (C&G/HNC/HND or higher).
• Strong understanding of building management systems.
• Experience managing contractors in high-profile commercial environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients.

They currently maintain a number of prestigious contracts across the main cities in the UK and are looking for a Engineering Services Manager to work on a high profile contract based in the heart of London's financial district, close to Liverpool Street.

The building itself houses a well known law firm and offers a totally different workingenvironment, housing state of the art technologyand really is a unique place to work.

The Engineering ServicesManager role will be responsiblefor managing the on site maintenanceteam, making sure that the M&E services are delivered to a highstandard and with minimal disruption to the building.

Duties of the role will include the following:

• Managing the on site maintenance team of three engineers, an admin and an apprentice.
• Manage all technical issues across the building in relation to ongoing maintenance works.
• Issuing permits to work
• Manage agreed KPI and SLA’s.
• Responsible for managing the company’s H&S and environmental performance on site.
• Plan and implement shutdowns
• Management of reports.

Applicants for this role must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering discipline; C&G, HNC, HND or higher.
• Strong understanding of building management systems.
• Strong technical engineering understanding.
• Previous experience of managing contractors.
• Experience of service delivery in high profile commercial environments.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload.
