Job summary

Notting Hill Genesis is seeking a strategic Head of Engineering Services to lead the Engineering Services function, defining standards and assurance across M&E, heating, energy, water and fire safety. You will drive technical excellence, manage a multidisciplinary team and provide independent assurance to safeguard residents and assets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services or Fire Engineering with professional status or working towards
• Extensive experience in a senior engineering or technical leadership role
• Strong knowledge of housing and engineering legislation and regulations
• Experience leading technical or specialist teams and challenging contractors
• IT literacy and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Define engineering policies, standards and assurance requirements across M&E, heating, energy and fire safety.
• Establish independent engineering assurance system with separation of service delivery and assurance.
• Provide technical authority and challenge to improve contractor performance and quality.
• Lead multidisciplinary team and embed professional standards.
• Use data and performance insight to identify systemic risks and inform investments.
• Oversee cost assurance and capital handovers with stakeholders.
• Identify and elevate systemic engineering risks and inform investment decisions.
• Collaborate with regulators and partners to ensure capital works meet standards at handover
