Job summary

The British Standards Institution (BSI) in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead end-to-end projects in our testing laboratory. You will own project delivery from concept through handover, coordinating with internal teams and external contractors to ensure on-time, within-budget outcomes.

You will manage cross-functional stakeholders, ensure rigorous validation, and drive safety, quality, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple, complex engineering projects from cradle to grave.
• Qualified to at least HNC/HND in a technical/engineering discipline.
• Formal project management qualification/certification.
• High awareness of Health & Safety such as method statements and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Manage turn-key projects from cradle to grave for test equipment/facilities.
• Coordinate with lab SMEs, calibration, maintenance, safety to define requirements.
• Oversee design workload and output with design team.
• Deliver equipment/rig/improvements into live environment per approved solution.
• Obtain validation of requirements during build and handover.
