Job summary

TechMet Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee planning, management, co-ordination and financial control of electrical and automation projects in Northern Ireland.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of leadership of complex electrical projects within regulatory environments, with proficiency in MS Project and Excel for reporting and control.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng or BSc)
• Minimum 10 years leading electrical projects
• Experience delivering projects under strict legislative controls

Responsibilities

• Scope projects and set milestones with stakeholders
• Ensure LV/HV systems meet timeframes, budget, and standards

Due to continued growth the company is looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee planning, management, co-ordination and financial control of electrical / automation projects.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Scoping projects, agreeing milestones and objectives in consultation with all stakeholders
• Ensuring that LV / HV systems are delivered within established timeframes, budget and industry standards
• Monitoring, reporting and escalating project issues as needed
• Lead the development of practical and cost effective Electrical Design solutions
• Support tender process, ensuring optimal economic and technical solutions
• Organise testing, commissioning and validation of new facilities and equipment

The Person:

• Degree qualified in an engineering discipline ideally BEng or BSc in Electrical Engineering
• At least 10 years' experience of leading and executing complex, Electrical projects within a strict legislative environment
• Extensive experience of project delivery through application of comprehensive project management process
• Ideally knowledge of LV systems, including Transformers, RMUs, LV Distribution
• Proficient in programming, managing and reporting on project using IT (MS project/Excel etc)
