Job summary

Major Energy Onshore is seeking an Electrical Project Manager with proven experience in HV and LV industrial installations. You will lead contract management, coordinate orders, and assist in quotations and tenders for HV and LV installation and site projects.

You will visit sites, advise clients on scope, prepare offers, manage installation surveys, and ensure safe, compliant delivery of projects. Experience with DNO and SAP switching is essential, along with a strong commercial mindset.

Job description

An Electrical Project Manager with experience of working on HV & LV industrial installations is sought by a busy electrical contractor.

EXCITING ROLE

Your main responsibilities will be the contract management and co-ordination of both new and existing project orders but will also include the assistance in the preparation of quotations and tenders specifically for the HV & LV installation and site projects offered by the company and the sale of such services.

Key duties will include

• Prepare estimates and quotations to clients for the range of works offered by the company.
• Visit site, advise clients on scope of works and prepare offers and quotations
• Carry out installation surveys
• Evaluate equipment specifications needed for works
• Responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of HV & LV installation works, site installation, projects, maintenance and after care services.
• Provide a point of contact for new & existing customers,
• Give technical help & assistance to ensure correct equipment & services are controlled, specified, supplied and installed.
• Identify opportunities for cost reductions and profitability improvements
• Control the ongoing HV & LV installation works, project works, service, and maintenance contracts.
• Carry out Senior authorised person (SAP) switching duties taking the highest regard for safety.
• Identify opportunities for new project related works, installations, and service contracts and assist the sales team in converting them to active business

There will also be elements of site work along with office-based activities, which are required to support the companies site installation, projects & maintenance contracts.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing electrical installations and have a good track record of managing projects, You will need to have a good knowledge of HV & LV installation requirements, good commercial skills and a good understanding of Transformers, HV and LV switchgear, HV and LV cabling and associated containment, terminations and any other parts required. Experience of working with Distribution Network Operator (DNO) is needed as is experience as an SAP.
