Job summary

NP Aerospace is seeking two Project Managers in Coventry to lead the delivery of technically focused defence engineering projects within the VSSS unit. You will manage project plans, budgets, and resources, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to high technical standards.

Collaboration with engineering, production and quality teams, plus engagement with MOD representatives, will be essential as you drive governance, risk management and successful bids for future work.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education, preferably in a technical or engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in project management within a technical, defence, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project planning tools and Microsoft Office (including MS Project).
• Experience managing budgets, risks, and governance documentation.
• Excellent communication skills – able to engage across engineering and leadership teams.
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance without exemptions.
• Experience using AI tools or willingness to learn and apply them in the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering projects from planning to delivery, ensuring on-time completion, within budget, and to high technical standards.
• Own project plans, budgets, and resources with full visibility of risks, dependencies and milestones.
• Define project requirements with engineering, production and quality teams and oversee technical direction and customer/regulatory alignment.
• Guide engineering change processes and support teams through development and service lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners including MOD representatives to ensure communication, governance and reporting.
• Contribute to bids and proposals to grow the project portfolio.
