Job summary

Position 1 Recruitment is hiring a Project Manager to join a long-established manufacturing client based in Watton. The role focuses on managing high-value engineering projects, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with certification requirements.

The position offers hybrid working (3 days in-office, 2 days from home) and a salary up to £50,000 per year, with full-time permanent employment. Applicants should have a Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Complex, multidisciplinary engineering or manufacturing project experience.
• Background in oil & gas or similar technical sector.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong engineering documentation, planning, and stakeholder coordination.
• Proficiency with listed engineering software (AX, Caesar II, STAAD, Creo3, AutoCAD, MS Project).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of manufacturing contracts for engineered products.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans with milestones and critical paths.
• Lead communication between clients, sub-vendors, project buyers, engineers, and production supervisors.
• Manage project risks, changes, procurement, documentation, and reporting.
• Control project costs and ensure compliance with inspection and certification requirements.
• Attend client meetings on- and off-site when required.
• Ensure project designs meet certification, industry standards, and client specifications.
• Support technical bid evaluations and proposal processes.
