Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead end-to-end CAPEX projects across its sites and estate. You will scope, tender, procure contractors, set up sites, perform health and safety inspections, commission works and hand over to operations.

This role is based in Bicester, with on-site work five days a week and a car allowance. A background in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, CDM compliance, and strong stakeholder management are essential; experience in water/wastewater is

Qualifications

• Background in Engineering; civil or mechanical preferred.
• Formal qualifications encouraged: BTEC/HND or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Clean Water Processing or Wastewater is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and contracts.
• Self-motivated, with minimum supervision and initiative.
• Understanding of CDM and health & safety standards.
• Experience in Construction or Engineering Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver a portfolio of Mechanical, Electrical and ICA projects.
• Lead scoping, tendering, contractor procurement and site setup.
• Oversee health and safety inspections, commissioning and handover.
• Ensure projects comply with CDM and industry standards.
• Forecast financials and report on value of works completed.
• Draft RAMS, CPP, and manage pre-construction information.
• Coordinate with operations teams and contractors to ensure timely delivery.
