Job summary

Amentum in Birchwood seeks an Engineering Project Manager to lead the PPP Team on a major EPC project. You will own engineering strategy, execution, risk and cost delivery, acting as senior point of contact for Management Board reviews and internal project status meetings.

You will assemble and lead a multi-disciplinary team up to about 80 engineers across CSA, Mechanical, CE&I safety and more, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure robust delivery within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience leading major EPC engineering delivery.
• Knowledge of Nuclear industry, regulatory framework and safety.

Responsibilities

Job description

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Engineering Project Manager to join the PPP Team in Birchwood. As an Engineering Project Manager some of your responsibilities will include:

• Act as the senior point of contact for all Engineering related matters for a major project within the PPP framework including but not limited to; Overall Engineering strategy and Engineering execution, Engineering risk management, Engineering schedule delivery and Engineering cost delivery.
• Act as the senior engineering point of contact for Management Board Project Status reviews
• Act as the senior point of contact for Internal Amentum monthly project reviews
• Responsible for creating and leading a multi-disciplinary team across all major disciplines such CSA, Mechanical, CE&I safety etc. which could be up to circa 80 people.
• Working alongside key stakeholders including intelligent client to ensure engineering strategies and engineering execution are robust are underpinned
• Instigation of Learning from Experience/continuous improvement activities Proven experience of leading major engineering delivery on EPC projects
• Proven experience acting as the Principal Designer under CDM regulations.
• Chartered Engineer (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of the Nuclear Industry (or similar regulated Industry), Regulatory Framework and Safety requirements
• Experience with change control, forecasting, and performance management
