Job summary

Engineering Project Manager role at a market-leading manufacturer in Newcastle specialising in emissions-control and scrubber systems. Lead a £2.5m-£3m project from feasibility through to installation, commissioning and handover on site.

Outside-IR35, 9–12 month contract with a daily rate of £450–£500. You will collaborate with procurement, manage OEMs, suppliers and contractors, and drive safety and CDM compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven cradle-to-grave capital-project delivery experience.
• Experience managing OEMs, suppliers and contractors.
• Ideally experienced in scrubbers, emissions control, process plant or comparable industrial installations.
• Strong knowledge of CDM and contractor management.
• Ideally HNC, HND or degree-qualified in an engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Review and develop the current feasibility work.
• Manage project scope, programme, budget, risk and change.
• Lead the RFQ/RFT and supplier-selection process.
• Manage OEMs and contractors through design and installation.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, civil and process workstreams.
• Oversee commissioning, performance testing and handover.
• Act as Principal Contractor and ensure compliance with CDM.
