HRGO Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Technical Buyer to source engineered components, materials, tooling and services for production and engineering projects. Based near St.

Neots on the Cambourne/Cambridge border, this permanent role offers a salary up to £42,000 and a 39-hour week. You will raise and manage purchase orders from drawings and BOMs, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, manage supplier relationships and drive cost-saving opportunities, with ERP/MRP experience and strong

Qualifications

• Technical/engineering procurement experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Own transport is required.

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders from drawings, specs and BOMs
• Obtain quotes and negotiate pricing, terms and delivery
• Manage supplier relationships and performance; resolve delays/quality issues
• Maintain procurement data (lead times, pricing, supplier records, stock info)
• Identify cost-saving and alternative sourcing opportunities
• Support NPI/prototypes and supplier involvement
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and H&S
