Job summary

Pertemps Network Group is seeking a Senior Engineering Buyer to join the London-based Engineering team. This role focuses on sourcing spare parts, engineering equipment and assemblies for global clients, with a strong emphasis on supplier relationships and cost optimization.

The position is fully office-based in London, with no hybrid or remote option. Ideal candidates will bring at least 3 years of engineering purchasing experience, a technical degree, and proven negotiation skills to drive

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in engineering purchasing or technical buying.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Experience sourcing engineering products, spare parts or industrial equipment.
• Ability to evaluate suppliers and secure favourable commercial terms.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for engineering spare parts, assemblies and equipment.
• Be primary contact between internal stakeholders and the Engineering team.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and clients across regions.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard suitable vendors to meet requirements.
• Prepare and manage enquiries, quotations and purchase contracts.
• Negotiate pricing and supplier terms to maximise value.
• Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement across suppliers.
• Mentor junior team members and support clients across sectors.
