Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Engineering Planner in Edinburgh to manage and prioritise maintenance activities using our CMMS, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient work delivery.

You will coordinate requests, schedules and resources, maintain accurate data for reporting and drive continuous improvements across mechanical and electrical assets, while upholding health and safety standards and corporate values.

Qualifications

• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent preferred.
• Confined space awareness/qualification.
• Competence with permit to work systems.
• Risk assessment and method statement training.
• Desirable: experience with wastewater processes/assets.
• Strong knowledge of contract scope areas.
• Familiar with Google packages and CMMS software.
• Experience in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Good commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise planned, preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance through the CMMS.
• Coordinate work requests, schedules and available resources to ensure maintenance is delivered efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records and data to support reporting, performance monitoring and process improvement.
• Ensure health, safety, statutory and regulatory requirements are met, including task coordination, risk assessments and Permit to Work systems.
• Support maintenance and operations teams by managing contractors, providing technical feedback and helping optimise assets and processes.
