Due to growth, we are recruiting an Engineering Planner at our Eaglescliffe site, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Role Purpose

The role involves providing a safe, cost-effective, and proactive maintenance planning service to facilitate excellent execution of maintenance activities on factory assets and equipment. It also includes managing engineering spares and inventory to support asset reliability.

Key Skills and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to deliver the Engineering Plan.
  • Ensure assets meet legal standards and insurance requirements, including lifting equipment, pressure systems, and LEV.
  • Implement and maximize the use of an effective Engineering Planning System.
  • Create weekly engineering schedules to ensure high standards of maintenance and asset reliability, including on-site planning and estimation within budget.
  • Coordinate overhaul activities and develop plans.
  • Schedule and monitor a balanced Preventive Maintenance (PM) system to meet KPIs.
  • Measure and report engineering KPIs weekly.
  • Implement the group’s chosen Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Develop asset block diagrams and support effective spares management and asset tracking.
  • Manage engineering spend, invoices, and delivery notes.
  • Support the site engineering team with daily issues.
  • Contribute to site objectives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Manage and support a small engineering team.
