Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Maintenance Planner to maximise plant reliability and performance on site. You will lead preventative maintenance using SAP PM, manage spares and materials, and coordinate risk-based maintenance strategies while maintaining data integrity in the CMMS.

The role requires contractor management experience, IOSH-related safety knowledge, and strong communication with site leaders. You will liaise with reliability managers and engineering leads to ensure safe, efficient

Job description

• Maximise plant reliability and performance to maintain quality standards and meet customer expectations
• Manage the preventative maintenance system to improve overall equipment efficiency and reduce downtime and damage
• Deliver effective maintenance support to the site
• Collaborate with Reliability Managers, the Stores Coordinator and Engineering site leads
• Plan and schedule maintenance activity, including backlog, spares and materials
• Support plant criticality reviews
• Review maintenance plans and establish critical spares
• Act as key user for the site SAP PM maintenance system and reporting
• Ensure stock is available for planned maintenance and scheduled works
• Ensure contractors work safely in line with risk assessments
• Plan and schedule risk-based maintenance strategies
• Plan shutdowns and follow-on works
• Ensure data integrity within the SAP CMMS
• Evaluate planned maintenance performance using KPIs
• Maintain service contracts and external supplier relationships and review supplier effectiveness
• Manage contractor control, including RAMS

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role
• Experience of contractor management
• Working knowledge of a CMMS, for example SAP
• Experience organising planned maintenance and maintenance shutdowns
• IT knowledge and ability to use widespread functions within relevant software, including Microsoft Office
• Analysing and problem-solving skills, including identifying underlying problems and appropriate solutions based on data analysis
• Health and safety knowledge, e.g. IOSH
• Communication skills and ability to develop effective, long-term relationships with key people
