Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Huddersfield invites an enthusiastic Engineering Summer (12 Weeks) Placement Student to join our Turbocharger team onsite. You'll learn how a global organization operates and gain exposure to engineering in a leading turbocharger business.

The role requires onsite presence 3 days per week, with relocation/travel as needed, and begins Summer 2027. You will work with stakeholders worldwide, design, test, analyse components, and contribute to future turbo machine technology.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a STEM degree suitable for a placement year.
• Ability to work within a cross-functional team.
• Willingness to relocate or travel to Huddersfield as required.

Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional teams in development of Cummins products.
• Assist in design, testing and analysis of turbocharger components.
• Participate in technical reviews and data presentation.
• Contribute to problem solving and process improvements.
• Gain exposure to turbocharger technology and field unit inspection.
