Job summary

Precision People UK is seeking an Engineering Operations Director to lead engineering and operations across three sites near Nottingham/Derby, driving uptime, throughput and cost improvements. You will use plant data and a strong leadership style to deliver measurable performance gains and financial results.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who has progressed into an operational leadership position, with chartered status and a track record of enhancing plant availability,

Qualifications

• Experience in aggregates, recycling, quarrying, minerals, waste processing or similar high-volume environment.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Mechanical/Production/Process engineering background.
• Significant senior management experience in industrial or process settings.
• Proven track record of improving plant and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Maximise plant performance and availability.
• Improve throughput and recovery.
• Strengthen preventative maintenance and plant reliability.
• Improve labour and operational productivity.
• Identify and deliver engineering improvements.
• Support plant upgrades and capital projects.
• Improve operational reporting and accountability.
• Maintain strong safety and compliance standards.
• Translate engineering and operational improvements into better financial performance.
